We are so fortunate to have Paula with us at the Atlanta Healing Center.  Paula began her career in the field of Nursing in Johnson City, TN.  She left nursing to stay home and raise her daughters. In the early 2000s, her family was touched by the disease of addiction and also addiction recovery. This led her into her own journey of self-discovery and self-healing. She became very active in the recovering community of Northeast Georgia. 

 

Paula Robertson has been certified as an Addiction Counselor since 2010.  She did her internship training and later was employed at SummitRidge Hospital in Lawrenceville, GA. At SummitRidge, Paula helped run their ADIOP (Addictive Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program). She provided assessments and group and individual counseling for recovering addicts and their families. She also worked for a period with Rice Counseling Services.  There she provided Level One DUI treatment groups.  

 

She joined the Atlanta Healing Center in 2013. Paula continues to provide addiction treatment groups and Individual counseling Monday - Thursday.  On Fridays, she revitalizes her nursing skills with new patient assessments, medication orders, and monitoring individuals in Ambulatory Detox.

Paula biggest passion currently is that of "Soccer Grandma". She frequently can be seen escorting her grandson's traveling team where they are winning championships throughout the Southeast.
